By using our service, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

User Contacts: If you use our caller ID app, we may collect contact information from your device, including names and phone numbers, with your explicit consent.
API Usage Data: Data related to your use of our API, such as request logs, timestamps, and response data.
Personal Data: Any personal data associated with phone numbers queried through our service.
Falcon telemetry: Redacted screening events from CallerAPI Falcon installs that keep sharing on. Sharing is the default. This is a data source for signer reputation and for finding new spam numbers. Each event includes the decision, the score, the reasons, and the calling number. It also includes the source IP, the User-Agent, the Call-ID, and the switch label. It includes the signer Service Provider Code and name, and the verification result. It includes the SIP request line and headers after redaction, the install id, and the Falcon version. The called number is replaced with REDACTED. Forwarding numbers are replaced with REDACTED. The PASSporT and the SDP body are removed. A keyed hash of the called number (to_hmac) stands in for the subscriber. We can count reach without learning who they are. The install signs each post. We bind the install id to that key on first sight.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
Provide and improve our caller ID services, including spam filtering and user identification.
Develop a proprietary data source to enhance the accuracy and functionality of our Service.
Build signer reputation and find new spam numbers from Falcon telemetry that operators share.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection requirements.
Share aggregated or anonymized data with carriers, dialers, and other third-party partners to improve their caller identification capabilities.
4. User Consent and Rights
Consent: We collect user contacts only with your explicit consent provided during app installation or usage.
Right to Access: You may request access to the data we have collected about you.
Right to Deletion: You may request the deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support[at]callerapi.com.
Opt-Out: You can opt out of data collection through app settings or by uninstalling the app.
Falcon opt-out: Set FALCON_SHARE=false, or turn off Share redacted screening events in the Falcon System view. Sharing then stops within 30 seconds. The environment flag wins over the dashboard.
5. Data Sharing and Security
Third-Party Sharing: We may share user contact data with carriers and dialers for the purpose of spam filtering and user identification. All such sharing complies with applicable data protection laws.
Data Security: We implement technical and organizational measures to protect the data we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data Retention: User contact data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy. Data may be anonymized and retained for analytical purposes.

We comply with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
We will respond to lawful requests for data access, modification, or deletion as required by law.
